PROFICIENCY TESTING
Skiatook Public Schools will be giving Proficiency Tests for any new students needing to enroll in the district coming from a non-accredited private school or home school. This helps to determine which grade the student will enroll.
In addition, in an effort to provide maximum opportunities for individual students, Skiatook Public Schools is offering students the opportunity to earn credit by examination.
By demonstrating proficiency in a subject, by scoring a 90 percent on a written examination and/or demonstration, a student may earn a grade or credit for a subject.
The test is offered May 30 and August 1, 2008.
A parent who has questions or wants to register their child for the examination should contact the child's building counselor or the administration office before May 28 or July 25, 2008. You may also download a permission form and return it to the Service Center at 355 S. Osage. For other information or questions you may try our FAQ section, call your child's school counselor, or the Education Service Center at 396-1792 ext. 100.
