About Our School

Skiatook High School is a beautiful campus that serves over 700 students from ninth through twelfth grades, with 163 seniors, 173 juniors, 165 sophomores, and 228 freshmen.  The campus is located at 1000 West 4th and has room for growth at the present site.

The high school has 47 teachers, three counselors, one principal, and two assistant principals.  There also are 19 members in the support staff.

The programs at Skiatook High School meet a wide range of student needs including college curriculum courses, vocational courses, and strong extracurricular activities, such as Future Farmers of America, Business Professionals of America, Student Council, Honor Society, FCCLA, Serteens, Debate, Academic Bowl, Band, and Chorus to name a few.  Programs offered include a strong computer curriculum, extensive lab sciences, advanced math courses, a solid English department, foreign language courses, and competitive speech.  In addition, we offer special education classes, a gifted program, several advanced placement classes in various departments, and quality guidance and counseling services.

Skiatook High School has shown steady growth in the last few years and is in the process of building new classrooms to meet student growth needs.  This summer, a section of the gymnasium was converted into seven new classrooms, one of which will be a new computer lab.  Currently remodeling in the main office area will help to accommodate new counseling offices and much needed conference rooms.

Skiatook High School has an alternative education program which is held in the evenings.  This program has proven to be very successful.  Thirty-seven seniors graduated from this program in the 05-06 school year.

Even though there is tremendous growth at the high school, needs of the students are met with a rounded set of activities and courses.  We fervently anticipate expanding these activities and courses as our student demographics change with our growing community.
