Skiatook High School FEDERAL PROGRAMS
Gifted and Talented Fine arts classes, Drama, Choir classes, Band classes, Pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement Courses are offered
Special Services-Skiatook Public Schools offer a free education to all children from 3-21 years old. These programs are designed to serve those who are handicapped in any of the following categories: autism, deaf-blindness, deafness or hearing impairment, developmental delays, emotional disturbance, mental retardation, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, and visual impairment. Wellness Policy Skiatook Public Schools is committed to providing an environment that promotes students learning, establishing, and maintaining lifelong healthy eating and activity patterns. Well-planned and effectively implemented school nutrition and fitness programs have been shown to enhance students’ overall health, as well as their behavior and academic achievement in school. Staff wellness also is an integral part of a healthy school environment since school staff can be daily role models for healthy behaviors. NMS provides P.E. and health classes.
