HS Student Council
Congratulations, Skiatook Student Council, for being named a National GOLD Chapter of Excellence by the National Association of Student Councils. Only 131 student councils across the nation received this prestigious award. This is the highest recognition the NASC bestows on a council.
Skiatook Student Council has 59 members and has a long tradition of leadership excellence. It has been named an Oklahoma Association of Student Councils (OASC) Gold Chapter member for 19 years and is a member of the National Association of Student Councils (NASC). Skiatook High School student leaders attend OASC State Convention, OASC District VI Workshops, OASC Basic Summer Workshops, and NASC Summer Convention.
The Skiatook Student Council conducts many activities at Skiatook High School and throughout the Skiatook Public School district including:
· Football, Basketball, and Wrestling Homecoming Week Activities
· SHS Academic Spirit Rallies
· Turkey Challenge (All proceeds support SEAC)
· SHS Superstar
· Middle School Leadership Conference
Skiatook Student Council will serve at the OASC State Secretary in 2011. Alexis Ridenour holds the 2011 office. We will host the OASC State Convention in the Fall of 2011.
