Skiatook Public Schools

Dear Parents,

 

            We are off to a great start at Newman Middle School. This is by far the best start of school I have had in my entire career. The teachers are excited and the students are eager to get into a daily routine. Unfortunately we have not been able to accomplish this entirely. Our afternoon classes are extremely large and we will have to make schedule changes in order to reduce class sizes to a level we feel is conducive for learning. In order to ensure that we have a positive learning environment in each class we will have to adjust some students’ schedules. I apologize up front if your student is one that has to have a schedule change to balance class sizes, but we feel it is necessary for the success of all of our students. We will try to limit the number of changes that are necessary, and I want to thank you for being patient with us as we make these changes.
