Dear Marrs Elementary Families,
We’ve made it to Thanksgiving and what a wonderful journey it has been! It’s hard to believe how quickly this school year is flying by, but when each day is filled with excitement, growth, and plenty of smiles, time tends to move fast.
Our teachers have been nothing short of amazing. Their dedication, creativity, and passion for your children shine through in everything they do. I can confidently say that this year feels even stronger than the last, and that’s because of the incredible partnership between our staff, our students, and you.... our supportive families.
We’ve already wrapped up our first round of field trips, and the students came back buzzing with stories, discoveries, and a few tired feet. It’s one of my favorite parts of the year...... seeing learning come alive beyond the classroom walls.
Once we return from Thanksgiving break, we’ll be heading into the final stretch of the semester! Just three weeks left! And yes, they will be busy ones. From classroom activities to events and parties, we’ll be packing a lot of fun and learning into those days.
As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. May your break be restful, joyful, and truly blessed. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us each day.
Warmly,
Mrs. Guck
Principal, Marrs Elementary School

Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday 11/19, we will no longer have handicap parking available on the north side of the school near the Methodist Church. This change is being made to help keep everyone safe in our crosswalk area.
Please use the handicap parking located on the west side of the school, near our drop-off and pick-up zone.
Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our students and families safe! 💛

Excited to Join the Bulldog Family!!!
I’m truly honored to begin this journey as the new Superintendent of Skiatook Public Schools. From my first visit, I could feel the pride and heart of this incredible community, and I’m committed to honoring that spirit every step of the way.
As an educator and leader, my values are simple but powerful:
✔️ Servant Leadership
✔️ People and Culture Matter
✔️ Every Voice Counts
✔️ Work with Purpose and Heart
✔️ Focus on Growth Through Continuous Improvement
In the coming weeks, I’ll be out in schools, meeting our team, our families, and members of the community, and listening to your hopes for the future. I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work alongside such talented educators and supportive community members. It’s clear that Skiatook has a proud tradition of excellence, and I’m committed to building upon that legacy with care, collaboration, and purpose!

Important message regarding the summer feeding program available for our students this summer!

As of 8:50 am this morning (Wednesday May 14) the school district has no incoming or outgoing phone service. We have been in contact with our service provider and they believe it is an issue on their end.
On April 30th and May 1st, 2025, the decision was made to close school due to the flooding of Bird Creek. Due to schools being allowed to count the school calendar by days and minutes, the district is still above the minimum required by the state, so we will not have to add any additional days to our school calendar for the days missed. The final day of school for this year will remain Friday, May 16, 2025.
We want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank our incredible bus drivers for their outstanding service and commitment. Their dedication to ensuring student and staff safety daily is truly commendable. Please join us in showing our appreciation for their hard work this week!
