DISTANCE LEARNING

To ensure a successful and effective learning experience during our periods of distance or virtual instruction, it is essential that all members of our school community clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. These guidelines are designed to maintain academic integrity, promote a positive virtual environment, and clearly define how attendance and communication will be managed. Please review the following expectations carefully.

Section 1: Student Guidelines & Expectations

Assignments & Attendance:

  • All student work will be delivered through Google Classroom.

    This is the official platform for receiving and submitting

    assignments.

  • Attendance will be taken based on work completed and

    submitted on Google Classroom. Failure to complete work for a

    given day will result in an absence.

  • Check Google Classroom daily for assignments,

    announcements, and feedback.

Communication & Support:

  • Students may ask teachers questions during their scheduled Office

    Hours of 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.

  • Use appropriate, respectful communication channels

    (email, chat, etc.) to contact teachers during the specified

    support times.

Academic Honesty & Behavior:

  • Students will complete all work independently and maintain the highest standards of academic integrity.

  • Understand that the school's Student Code of Conduct applies to all virtual learning environments.

‍‍ Section 2: Parent/Guardian Guidelines & Support

Monitoring & Attendance:

  • You need to monitor your students' engagement and ensure they are submitting work through Google Classroom to be counted present for the day.

  • Check Google Classroom regularly for announcements, grades,and communication from the school.

Communication & Teacher Access:

  • Teachers are available to answer student questions during dedicated Office Hours of 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. They will be available through a Google Meet during this time.

  • Contact the school or teacher immediately if my student faces technical issues or significant barriers to learning.

Learning Environment:

  • Please establish a consistent daily schedule for my student that prioritizes learning and ensures they have a suitable, distraction-minimized learning space.
