Regular school attendance is an important part of student success. At Skiatook Public Schools, students are allowed up to 9 absences per semester. Students with 10 or more absences may receive a failing grade. The school also follows state compulsory education laws, which require parents to make sure their children attend school regularly.

Parents can help by contacting the school within 24 hours when their child is absent so the absence does not become unexplained. The school also provides support and interventions as absences increase, including letters, conferences, and other steps when necessary.
