Dear Families,
We are so excited for your child to start Pre-K! As we finalize our preparations, we want to share some information regarding our program options and how we are working to best meet the needs of our families.
Potential Half-Day Option
While our standard Pre-K program is a full-day format, we are currently exploring the possibility of offering half-day sessions in addition to the full-day option.
To open the half-day classes, we must reach a minimum enrollment threshold to ensure we can properly staff and resource the classroom. We know some families would like this flexibility, and we would like to make it happen if the numbers allow.
Current Enrollment Status
To ensure your child has a guaranteed spot in our Pre-K program, all students will be enrolled in the full-day program for the time being. This serves as a "placeholder" for your child while we gather interest and determine if the half-day option is feasible. By keeping everyone in the full-day track initially, we ensure that no student loses their seat in the program during this evaluation period. There will be a place for you to mark that you would prefer a half day option.
Next Steps
During enrollment, there will be a spot to check if you would prefer a half-day option.
We will monitor enrollment numbers specifically for those interested in a half-day schedule. We will need enough students to fill both a morning session and an afternoon session.
Once we determine if we have enough students to fill the half-day classes, we will reach out to those families with a final update.
If the half-day option becomes available, families who prefer that schedule will have the opportunity to officially switch their enrollment at that time.
Note: If we do not meet the required enrollment for two half-day sessions, the program will proceed as a full-day schedule for all students.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we strive to create the best possible learning environment for your children. If you have a strong preference for a half-day schedule, please mark that accordingly during enrollment.
