Mrs Steffens' ELA classes having some fun this last week! Her 7th grade ELA classes are having fun with “Parts and of Speech” Bingo Review! Her 6th grade ELA class is having fun learning plot through Pixar plot activities!

Please join us for our Title 1 meeting Wednesday, September 4th. We will meet in the library at 4:30. This meeting is open to the public & a great way to get involved!

Mrs Goodwin's 2nd hour class had some fun today! After reviewing Parts of Speech students played a competitive game of Sixes.

This week we are NWEA testing for our fall 2024 starting point scores. Please make sure your student is getting enough rest & coming with their Chromebook charged. Softball & Volleyball have games this week. There's plenty of opportunities to support our Lady Bulldogs!

ATHLETIC PASSES! You can purchase your student an athletic pass good for all home sporting events now -August 31st for $30 ($32 if you use a card). Mrs. Crase will be at Newman selling these at lunch today & Friday.

Homecoming is quickly approaching! 🏈👑Skiatook High School is selling these shirts for $20. They will be on sale at lunch both Thursday & Friday or you can turn your order form into the office by Monday, August 26th.

Yearbook sales have started! Order by 9/13 to save $5. Forms are in the office or outside the library. You can also go to jostens.com/backtoschool

Tomorrow's the big day! Here's some reminders for your student: 🐾They need to bring their chrome book charged & ready for the day! 🐾Know how they're getting home. Newman doesn't issue car tags for car riders. 🐾School starts at 8am, doors open at 7:30am. School lets out at 2:50pm. 🐾Only football athletics report to the field house for 1st hour. ALL other athletes come to Newman for a meeting 1st hour.

We are so excited to see our students tonight for Meet the teacher! Doors open at 4pm and we will be here until 6. This is a come and go event where you can pay for chrome book insurance and pick that up, pick up schedules, find class rooms and meet our teachers before the first day.

The substitute teacher orientation will be held Monday August 5th at 1:30 at the Brooks Walton Activity Center. The meeting will be recorded for viewing at the Education Service Center.

On July 30 Skiatook Public Schools posted the announcement for InTouch Receipting. Due to unforseen issues, we are having to temporarily halt the rollout of this service. Once we get all the issues worked out, we will let everyone know. Please accept our apologies!

Tuesday August 6th we will host Back to School night from 4-6pm. This is a come and go event for you to meet our teaches and see the classrooms for this year. Make plans to join us!

Wednesday July 31st is a big day! 6th graders have Rookie Camp from 1-3pm. 7th grade schedule pick up is at 9am and 8th grade is at 10am. Just a reminder, a schedule will not be released if Wengage enrollment isn't complete. See you soon!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! July 31st is a big day for your middle schooler! ✏️6th grade Rookie Camp - Wednesday, July 31st from 1-3pm. This isn't a come and go event. Please plan on dropping your student off for an afternoon of fun. They will get acquainted with their new building, meet some of their awesome teachers and staff, and learn more about how middle school works.
