This week we’re celebrating our amazing school counselor, Mrs. James, during National School Counseling Week!
Mrs. James has been a proud Bulldog for 24 years, and we’re so lucky to have her on our team! She plays a huge role in helping students coordinate our monthly assemblies and is always there to support and encourage everyone around her.
Her favorite thing about being a Bulldog is the great team of students and staff she gets to work with, and the Bulldog pride that shines throughout our school. She loves watching students catch on to new ideas and grow in confidence each day.
And here’s a fun fact — Mrs. James has a superpower! 💪✨ (We think it’s making every student feel seen, supported, and special!)

We appreciate our City of Skiatook crews for all they do to assist our schools!
Bulldogs Families,
Skiatook Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to extreme cold and hazardous travel conditions. Both days will be traditional snow days.
The district will continue to evaluate conditions through Tuesday evening to make a decision on school for Wednesday, January 28. Should an additional closure be necessary on Wednesday, the district will move to Distance Learning.
Bulldog Families,
Based on the most current forecast, we will be IN SCHOOL and IN PERSON tomorrow. Current projections indicate that weather impacts will hold off until early evening, we are confident we can hold school and get everyone home safely. Out of an abundance of caution, all after-school activities, Friday evening events, and all Saturday events are cancelled.
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school will not be in session on Monday, January 19th.

This week we are thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Overton, our Site Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Overton teaches 4th grade math and is in her 33rd year of teaching—with an incredible 27 years dedicated to Skiatook. She is a true example of what it means to love what you do and pour your heart into students.
Mrs. Overton is an amazing mentor to new teachers, always willing to share her wisdom, encouragement, and support. At the same time, she never stops growing—she’s always up for a challenge and eager to try new teaching techniques to better serve her students.
Her classroom is more than just a place to learn math; it’s a family. She has created a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel valued, challenged, and confident. Her passion for math and for kids shines through every single day.
We are so grateful for Mrs. Overton and the lasting impact she continues to make on our students, staff, and school community. 💙📐
