Bulldogs Families,
Skiatook Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to extreme cold and hazardous travel conditions. Both days will be traditional snow days.
The district will continue to evaluate conditions through Tuesday evening to make a decision on school for Wednesday, January 28. Should an additional closure be necessary on Wednesday, the district will move to Distance Learning.
Bulldog Families,
Based on the most current forecast, we will be IN SCHOOL and IN PERSON tomorrow. Current projections indicate that weather impacts will hold off until early evening, we are confident we can hold school and get everyone home safely. Out of an abundance of caution, all after-school activities, Friday evening events, and all Saturday events are cancelled.
Check out everything we have happening this week! From fun activities to important events, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to save the dates, stay involved, and get ready for an awesome week ahead.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school will not be in session on Monday, January 19th.

Mrs. Henderson's 8th grade Science class did a Moon Phase Activity with Cookies today. They had to create the 8 phases, explain them, and then answer questions based on the Moon Phase, then they got to enjoy the Moon Cookies!!

We're back in action, full speed ahead! To get the New Year rolling, Mrs. Henderson's class discussed challenges we may have faced in 2025, as well as goals we wanted to set for 2026. Each kid picked a word, as well as a saying, scripture or quote to go with their word and decorated it. We hung it on the wall to help hold each other accountable for 2026.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Cole Williams, our Teacher of the Year! 👏🍎

Mrs. Goodwin's ELA classes participated in a “speed dating” format Christmas Break question swap. Students rotated around asking and answering questions with all of their peers. It gave students an opportunity to talk about their break and reconnect with their peers while working on speaking and listening skills.

Ms. Steffens 7th grade ELA classes finished the novel, Freak the Mighty and they completed "Matchbook" projects which consisted of summarizing and main idea concepts. One of the themes for this novel is about the power of friendship. The novel emphasizes not judging people based on their outward appearance. It's also about overcoming obstacles in life.
Her 6th grade ELA class finished the novel, Holes and they completed group "Body Biography" projects over it. The project taught concepts such as character traits, symbolism etc. A couple of lessons from the novel deals with the importance of friendship and the consequences of choice

In Mrs. Freeny's Spanish class, they've been learning about the history and cultural significance of the poinsettia. As part of the lesson, students read The Legend of the Poinsettia, a beautiful story that connects language, tradition, and the holiday season.
To wrap up the activity, students are getting creative by making their own poinsettia ornaments, bringing the story to life while practicing Spanish vocabulary and celebrating cultural traditions. It’s been a fun and festive way to learn!
