Check out this amazing experiment from Mrs. Irving’s chemistry class!🔬🔥
The students explored combustion by adding natural gas to a beaker of soapy water to create bubbles. They then collected these gas-filled bubbles in their hands (covered in soapy water!) and lit them on fire. The flames ignite the gas inside the foam, releasing heat—but here’s the cool part: the heat is absorbed by the water on their hands, preventing any burns! It’s a safe, fiery demonstration of chemistry in action.
