On Tuesday, September 16th, Skiatook High School held its annual Literacy Night. This event allows students to preview select books and then receive one new book as a gift. Students enjoyed coffee drinks made by the SHS Pawsitively Coffee Crew and sweet treats. Local author Jesse Haynes attended the event and visited with the students about his book, Silent. The local public library offered students free tote bags and information about library programs that help students achieve success. The students had fun making their own bookmarks, and many of them won door prizes.

This morning, the Class of 2026 gathered for a breathtaking Senior Sunrise, marking the first step into their final year of high school. Their Class President, Nash Roberts, delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech that reminded them this is their moment to shine, to lead, and to create a legacy they will carry for a lifetime.
